Refunds and cancellation
How to cancel, withdraw from the contract and claim a refund. Last updated: July 2026.
1. Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel at any time, with no fee and no notice period. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for — until then the service stays available. Once cancelled, no further recurring payments are taken.
2. Right of withdrawal (consumers)
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion, without giving a reason. To do so, send an unambiguous statement to hello@kontevia.com or to the postal address of the Provider.
Where you have asked us to begin providing the service before the withdrawal period expires, you owe a proportionate amount for what has been provided up to the moment of withdrawal. We refund the rest.
Note that businesses (customers acting in the course of their trade) do not have a statutory right of withdrawal; the cancellation rules in Article 1 apply to them.
3. Refunds
- Service not delivered. If activation fails for reasons on our side, or the service is unavailable for a substantial part of the paid period, you are entitled to a refund of the corresponding part of the payment.
- Payment charged in error. A duplicate payment or a payment taken after cancellation is refunded in full.
- How we refund. Refunds are sent back by the same means as the original payment — a card payment is refunded to the same card — unless we agree otherwise with you. We do not charge any fee for a refund.
- When. We settle refund requests within 14 days of receiving them; the money is usually back on your account within a few business days after that, depending on your bank.
4. Complaints
If the service does not work as described, write to hello@kontevia.com with a description of the problem and, ideally, a screenshot. We confirm receipt without undue delay and settle the complaint within 30 days at the latest. If we reject a complaint, we explain why in writing.
Because the service processes accounting data, please raise incorrect postings as a complaint rather than relying on them — see Article 2 of the Terms.
5. Out-of-court dispute resolution
If we cannot agree, a consumer may turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, adr.coi.cz), which is competent for out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes, or use the European online dispute resolution platform.
