Bank connected to your documents: payments match themselves
Kontevia downloads transactions from selected banks in Czechia and matches them to issued and received invoices by payment reference, amount and counterparty. Connections for banks in other EU countries through PSD2 open banking are planned. You see what is paid, what is overdue and how cash flow looks, without ticking off statements by hand.
balance
AIB: €12,480 available. 3 new incoming payments, all matched to invoices 2026-0039 to 2026-0041. 1 outgoing payment (€50.00, Circle K) matched to yesterday's receipt. Nothing left to match.
How it works
Connect the bank
Connect your account in the settings wizard. Available for selected banks in Czechia today, read-only; PSD2 connections for banks in other countries are planned.
Automatic transaction download
New movements on the account arrive continuously without importing statements by hand.
Matching with invoices
An incoming payment is matched to an issued invoice by reference and amount, an outgoing one to received documents. Unmatched movements wait in the overview for manual assignment.
Cash flow overview
In one place you see paid invoices, overdue receivables and the balance over time.
Ticking off statements by hand is lost time
Checking payments is one of the least popular rituals in business: open online banking, go through the movements, find the invoice for each, note who has not paid. With a few dozen invoices a month that means hours of mechanical work, and one oversight is enough for an unpaid invoice to be dealt with months later.
Automatic matching removes that work. Transactions arrive continuously, unambiguous matches are paired on their own and you only deal with exceptions: a payment with a wrong reference or an advance without an invoice. Instead of going through statements you check a short list of unmatched movements.
An overview of money, not just documents
A connected bank turns Kontevia from a document register into an overview of money. You see which invoices are actually paid, how much is on the way and how cash flow develops over time. The receivables ledger updates itself and for overdue invoices a reminder is one click away.
Security is built on the read-only principle: Kontevia sees transactions but cannot initiate payments or otherwise operate the account. Access goes through licensed PSD2 providers, Kontevia never stores your banking credentials and the connection can be revoked at any time.

Frequently asked questions
How does automatic payment matching work?
The system compares incoming payments with issued invoices primarily by payment reference, secondarily by amount and counterparty. An unambiguous match is paired automatically, ambiguous cases stay in the overview for manual confirmation, so nothing is matched wrongly in silence.
Which banks can be connected?
Today, selected banks in Czechia. Connections to banks in other EU countries through PSD2 open banking are planned; until then you can mark invoices as paid by hand.
Is connecting the bank safe?
Access is read-only: Kontevia cannot initiate payments or operate the account. Kontevia never sees your banking password, and you can revoke access at any time.
What happens to a payment that does not match any invoice?
It stays in the overview of unmatched movements. You can assign it to a document manually, mark it as private, or create a new document from it, for example for a received payment without an invoice.
