Invoicing by message: an invoice with a payment QR code in a minute
Kontevia issues an invoice from one message on WhatsApp: you write who and what for, and you get a PDF with all the legal requirements of Ireland and a payment QR code. The incoming payment is then matched to the invoice and the due date is watched for you.
Invoice Murphy Consulting Ltd: consulting in August, €1,200 plus VAT, due in 14 days
Draft invoice 2026-0042 ready: Murphy Consulting Ltd (details from your contacts) Net €1,200, VAT 23 % €276, total €1,476 Payment QR code included. Reply 'send' to e-mail it, or open the draft in the dashboard.
How it works
Write what you are invoicing
A message like 'invoice Murphy Consulting Ltd for consulting, €1,200' is enough. Customers you have invoiced before are known to the system.
An invoice with all requirements and a QR code
A PDF is created with the mandatory details, a continuous numbering series and a payment QR code: EPC for euro invoices, QR Platba for Czech koruna invoices.
Send to the customer
Send the invoice straight from the chat or by e-mail. A copy stays in the overview of issued invoices.
Payment matching
With a connected bank the incoming payment is matched to the invoice on its own. For unpaid invoices you see whose due date is approaching.
An invoice should not be a project
In many tools issuing an invoice is a surprisingly long journey: log in, create the customer, fill a form of fifteen fields, check the numbering series, generate a PDF, download, forward. The result is that invoices are issued in batches once in a while and money arrives later than it needs to.
In Kontevia an invoice is one message. You write who and what for and the system fills in the rest: customer details from your contacts (in Czechia from the ARES register), the correct numbering series, the requirements depending on whether you are VAT registered, and a payment QR code. You invoice the moment the work is done, even on the way back from a meeting.
From issuing to getting paid
Issuing is not where the work with an invoice ends. Every issued invoice is recorded in the receivables ledger, where you see what is paid and what is overdue. With a connected bank, payments are matched automatically by reference and amount, so ticking off payments by hand disappears.
The payment QR code is not cosmetic: the customer pays by scanning within seconds and without typos, which measurably shortens the time to payment. The EPC QR code works in banking apps across the SEPA area for euro invoices; for Czech koruna invoices Kontevia adds the Czech QR Platba. Invoices are issued in CZK or EUR today; other currencies are planned.

Frequently asked questions
What must an invoice contain?
A business that is not VAT registered issues a simple invoice: document number, supplier and customer identification, description of the supply, amount and issue date. A VAT payer adds the requirements of a tax document under the VAT law of Ireland: VAT IDs, date of supply, rates and VAT amounts. Kontevia issues both variants correctly according to your status.
How does the payment QR code work?
For euro invoices Kontevia adds an EPC QR code with the IBAN, amount, payment reference and message; for Czech koruna invoices the Czech QR Platba. The customer scans it in a banking app and the transfer is pre-filled, which removes typos in the IBAN and the reference.
Will the system recognise that a customer has paid?
Yes, with a connected bank. Incoming payments are downloaded automatically and matched to issued invoices by reference and amount. In the overview you see paid invoices and those overdue.
Can I invoice in another currency?
Invoices are issued in CZK or EUR today; other currencies are planned. The invoice PDF is available in Czech, Slovak, English, German and Polish.
Is the invoice a valid e-invoice?
Not in the sense of the e-invoicing mandates: today Kontevia issues a PDF invoice with a payment QR code. Structured EN 16931 invoices (EN 16931) for Peppol are planned.
